Speaking of celebratory bashes . . . Summit’s throwing its annual backyard party this weekend, and they’ve got a bunch of music—The SuburbsGramma’s BoyfriendToki Wright with DJ Willie Shu and Lydia LizaAl Church, Black Market Brass, and the great Hotpants DJs—and food from World Street Kitchen, Pizza Lucé, Black Forest Inn, Bennett’s Chop and Railhouse, Frio Frio and Popped Corn. Oh, and they’ve got beer, too. Lots of beer. Sample from some casks in their cellar and revisit some of their standards they’re bringing back out for the event. Best of all, the party raises funds and awareness for the Minnesota Music Coalition, the fantastic org that supports independent local musicians. Pro Tip: There’s a bunch of shuttles running to this party from all over St. Easy, and they’ll likely be the most fun part of the afternoon. Saturday, Noon-7 PM. —Valerie Desmond
