Take your dear old dad for a walk along the Mississippi River during the Stone Arch Festival. Featuring over 250 artists who specialize in everything from ceramics and glass to mixed media, the festival is one of the best annual showcases for artists and art-lovers. There’s also the music: this year’s line-up stretches across four stages and includes Andy Juhl, White Light Riot, Sarah Morris, Wizards Are Real, Tortuga, and other great bands to provide the day’s soundtrack. You’ll also be able to snack at Stone Arch — this year the new Minnesota Made Artisan Market (presented by Whole Foods) hosts vendors including Unpeeled Kombucha, Salad Girl Salad Dressings, Peace Coffee, and Angie’s Kettle Corn. And if you need a break to rest your feet, the The Film Society of Minneapolis-St. Paul and Stone Arch Festival of the Arts’ film series, Minnesota Reek: Movies From Our Own Backyard.
