Yes! Sound Unseen is here! The fantastic festival of films about music (named “Top 25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World” by MovieMaker Magazine!) returns with a lineup as strong as ever. We’ll have recommendations for screenings—the documentaries, the rare concert footage, short films, music videos, and more—as they come up, but also know that one of the most fun parts of the festival is the opening party. Be sure to get a ticket early for the showing Contemporary COLOR, a chronicle of David Byrne’s celebration of color guards with special guests Saint Vincent, Nelly Furtado, Ad-Rock, and Ira Glass. Then use your ticket to join a who’s who of the local Arts & Culture scene get into the following opening party with SOTC fav LOTT, cheeky and seldom sober rock trio Whiskey Rock ‘n’ Roll Club MPLS, and the red hot right now Graveyard ClubFilm, 7 PM, $12 advance, $15 at the door.
