Shannon’s Dance Lessons at Lee’s Liquor Lounge

Shannon@Lee's

If you resort to your standard shuffle whenever you’re out dancing, here’s your chance to step up your game (pun intended). St. Paul resident Shannon Butler and her husband and dance partner Bill share their dance secrets at Lee’s Liquor Lounge tonight.

Butler was bit by the Jitterbug when she was four and went on to dance the Charleston and other forms of dance competitively. She has performed on stage with dance legends Betty Wood, Norma Miller, and the Nicholas Brothers. She dances, judges, and teaches various forms of dance. Don’t worry if you’re not Michael Jackson-confident with your moves just yet; Butler and her husband teach at a beginner level and offer plenty of fun and simple tips to make sure you’re ready for your next night out on the town. 8 p.m. Free. —RO
