It’s the weekend we’ve been waiting for: Red Bull’s Crashed Ice (more formally known as the Ice Cross Downhill World Championship) event returns to our city and we couldn’t be more excited for these hardcore skaters to (literally) tear up the outrageous course. What does this outdoor event consist of exactly? It’s a chance for the the best ice cross downhill riders to tackle one of the most technical tracks in the sport’s history. The course contains a 48 foot drop-in and runs an icy distance of 400 meters. Want a taste of last year’s Crashed Ice? Check out this video to see what you’re in for by attending this event. 7 p.m. (gates open at 5 p.m.) Free. —RO
