What the Repertoire Dogs do is not mere reenactment. To interpret classic scenes and stories, the group of actors endows the characters with iconic and inventively dissonant voices from pop culture. Think Christopher Walken lending his inquiring tones to a Mother Goose fable. Their roster of voices includes Tom Brokaw, William Shatner, and the entire Muppets crew, while scenes range from conversations in Showgirls to Pulp Fiction’s pithy exchanges. Call it impersonation squared. Maybe you’ve been known to splice stories yourself for the occasional party trick. The Rep. Dogs have the skill down to a T—although they might have borrowed the T from Tom Brokaw’s name. The group frequents the theater at Bryant Lake Bowl, and that’s where you can find them tonight. Arrive early for a few strikes, or head straight to the theater and grab a pint for the show. 8 p.m. $8 in advance or with a Fringe button, $10 at the door. —IW
