We’re seeing a striking parallel between the One-Minute Play Festival and flip-books. Both take about the same amount of time to tell a story. View more than 70 new one-minute plays at this festival, hosted by New York City-based theatre company OneMinute Play Festival (OMPF.) Founded by producing artistic director Dominic D’Andrea, OMPF partners with theaters that share playwrighting or community-specific missions across the country. In each city, OMPF sources locally for its playwright-focused community events, the goal being to promote the spirit of inclusion by representing local playwrights’ cultures, ages, genders, races, and careers. Ticket proceeds benefit Mixed Blood’s Radical Hospitality Initiative. Check out a few past performances here and pay attention at tonight’s performance; you don’t want to blink and miss something. 8 p.m. $20. —RO
