As part of its retrospective on iconic actor/singer/activist Harry Belafonte, and in anticipation of his Regis Dialogue tomorrow night, the Walker screens iconic director Robert Altman’s Depression-era crime Kansas City. The film features Belafonte as intense and awesomely-named underworld kingpin Seldom Seen, who kidnaps petty thief Johnny O’Hara (Dermot Mulrooney) much to the dismay of his wife Blondie (played by the always-great Jennifer Jason Leigh), who in turn kidnaps the wife of a local politician in an attempt to blackmail him into helping her get her husband back. 7:30 p.m. $8/$6 for Walker members.
