After a week of shows, there’s been nothing but positive buzz around The Guthrie’s new production of Paula Vogel’s Indecent, the critically acclaimed drama set around the debut of Sholem Asch’s The God of Vengeance. The original play and its story of love in a Jewish brothel was hit with indecency charges at its debut in 1923, hence the name, and Vogel’s contemporary tackling of the work’s creation and controversy is as relevant as ever. Plus the new play around a play runs a quick 110 minutes with no intermission and the tight ensemble provides top notch performances. Get in on that buzz this week. Through March 24th. $29-77.Margeaux Devereaux
