Heavy: The Artist Talk
Once you pull yourself away from all that fire (which we know is hard to do, but you gotta keep the art crawl going) head over to Instinct Art Gallery for Heavy: The Artist Talk. This exhibit will showcase more metal, but less fire as four artists featured in the current exhibition Heavy: The Metal Show will be on hand to discuss their work. Irve Dell, Kyle Fokken, Tina Blondell, and Shelly Mossman will each discuss the different techniques and perspective they bring to working with metal. For example, Fokken reassembles toys in a Frankenstein manner, and basically creates his own super toys, which sounds so very awesome. Former Fox9 news anchor and current director of arts and culture at the airport, Robyne Robinson, will moderate the evening. You need to get there by 7 p.m., because the talk is only an hour long. 7 p.m. Free —EJ
