Hannibal Buress, who has worked the late night comedy circuit and made appearances on shows such as 30 Rock and Saturday Night Live, starts his stint at Minneapolis’ ACME Comedy Company tonight. Buress, who was born in Chicago and resides in New York, hosts a weekly Sunday comedy night that first drew the attention of big names in comedy. He began touring, doing stand-up and joking about everything from current events to pawn shops to rental cars. His delivery is simple, adding to the comedic value of his jokes. Chris Rock put it oh so eloquently when he said, “If Steven Wright, Mos Def and Dave Chappelle had a baby, that would be disgusting, but it would sound like Hannibal Buress. The funniest young comic I’ve seen in years.” See for yourself if that comparison makes sense tonight at the ACME. 8 p.m. $20. 18+ —RO
