Beards, improv, pirates—what more could you ask for in a comedy show? The Bearded Men deliver (although they’re not all actually bearded) in their weekly sketch act tonight, the last in this season.

How does it work? The Bearded Men provide the costumes, props, and pirate-talk framework to be filled in with storylines and settings suggested by audience members. Each week’s show is uniquely hilarious, though you can expect a vein of over-the-top theatricality and high-energy madness to pervade every performance. The last few weeks have been selling out, so buying tickets ahead of time wouldn’t be a bad idea. Visit The Bearded Men’s Vimeo page for an idea of what you’re getting yourself into (it’s all good, we promise).

Their 45-minute act not enough comedy for you? Come for the preceding shows at 8 and 9:30 to make a night of it for only $10. And yes, there’s a bar, so you can grab a drink before the performance. 10:30 p.m. $5. —EK
