Seeing any of the three artists involved in “Triple Heartbeat” would be a treat, but the Chicago-Minneapolis exchange of storytelling, dance, text, and voice that makes up “Triple Heartbeat” is a must-see for any fans of new and creative performance. In it, Mitsu Salmon taps the story of her great-grandfather, a well-known botanist from Japan; Christine Shallenberg fills the cabaret’s airwaves with original songs, a copper pipe, and an infinity symbol pathway on the floor; and hometown gem Laryssa Husiak reflects on her heritage through traditional Ukrainian folk songs. Friday, September 20th, 7 PM. $10-15. —Hitara
