Hip-hop has come to be as much the expression of self through one’s look as it is about the music, and the absolutely fantastic documentary Fresh Dressed showcases the rise of graffiti-drenched jackets, oversized glasses, and Kangol hats from the urban locales where the music was made to the malls of suburbia. The picture also not only features interviews with the likes of Pharrell, Damon Dash, Karl Kani and Kanye, but also of course has a fantastic old school hip-hop soundtrack to boot. A fantastic film to see regardless of setting, but extra exciting as a part of the First Thursday screenings at the Capri Theater. 7 PM. $5. —Curt Stanski
