Fashion is art and art is in fashion. Yet rarely do you see art on fashion. On Saturday, those two worlds collide in a very unique way when Project Runway Season 6 fan favorite and Minnesota native Christopher Straub presents eight dresses he’s created from paintings by Minneapolis artist Patrick Kemal Pryor. The fashion/art hybrid is part of an exhibition at the Anita Sue Kolman gallery called “Fashioned: One Becomes Another.” The exhibition also includes pieces by Kate Casanova, who grows mushrooms in the oddest places to a strikingly beautiful result, and Nancy MacKenzie, who fashions new, artistic shapes and figures from found material. Studio 395, Northrup King Building, 1500 NE Jackson St., Mpls., 612-385-4293. For more information, visit the Anita Sue Kolman website.
