Remember the infamous droning single-song set from Low at last year’s Rock the Garden? It was only 28 minutes or so, but people were confused, upset, enthralled! With it, Low took up the the political statement “Drone Not Drones” to oppose the military’s use of unarmed planes dropping bombs. Friday night at the Cedar, Drone Not Drones returns with drone literally all day (28 hours, to be exact). The music starts at 7 p.m. and continues until 10:45 p.m. on Saturday, with a gigantic list of very awesome bands taking the stage. The event will raise money for Doctors Without Borders, which works to bring medical aid to countries around the world that need it most. Check out the website for a full list of bands, and bring something comfy to sit in for, oh, 8-10 hours. Friday 6 p.m. (Doors). $10 (Advance) $20 (At the door). —Eric D. Johnson
