If just hearing the words “82 degrees and sunny” makes you perspire, and you’d rather not leave your overly-air conditioned home for fear of underarm embarrassment, spend some time indoors today at Homewood Studios. Daisy Giles, a new painter in the Twin Cities art scene will be having her first solo show. Tipped off by Minneapolis mover-and-shaker Sondra Samuels, Homewood Studios started looking into Giles’ art—and liked what they saw. The current exhibit runs through June 27, and showcases portraits of women who have come in contact with Giles, showing the “true” image, untouched by traditional, societal norms. 5 p.m. Free. —AA
