When we first mentioned Collide’s new staging of Dracula as it opened last week, we were cautiously optimistic, but not sold enough to make a full recommendation. A Dracula adaptation that’s mainly a dance number, but that also has live performances of songs from Nirvana, Lady Gaga, and Cheap Trick? It’s like a Baz Luhrmann fever dream, which could be grossly entertaining or just gauche. But Collide has pulled it all off, and all the reviews for Joshua Campbell‘s direction and Regina Peloso’s choreography have highlighted how fun the show is. So expect full houses when you go hear Drac sing through his fangs this weekend. Friday-Sunday, multiple performance times. $32-45. —Ethan Hennley-Allen
