The Walker’s Cinema of Urgency free film series concludes tonight with selections from local filmmakers and there’s a lot to draw in fans of social issues, inlcuding Risking Light, where a victims tackle forgiveness, and Killing Mookie, a portrait about police killings before the Black Lives Matter movement. We’re especially interested in seeing scenes from Norah Shapiro‘s Time for Ilhan (working title), a documentary about Ilhan Omar‘s race to become the first Muslim African-born woman elected to state office in the United States, and a film that we expect to provide a nice counter-point to the smear campaign against Omar picked up by KSTP, the STrib, and other outlets. 7 PM.
