Cabaret: Cinecittà La bohème

Ok, yes, this is super expensive. You can actually go to all of our other weekend picks for less than a third of this one party. But you know what? There really are very few formal events that you can go to, especially ones that are this cool, so we know a bunch of you will get excited to get gussied up to dance at an Italian cinema-themed cabaret party. Held by the MN Opera’s Donor Events Committee and Tempo at Aria, the evening transports you to 1950s Fellini-Rome for the “filming” of La bohème (a staged performance from Minnesota Opera’s Resident Artists), with food and wine and a silent auction. Then after intermission, DJ Jonathan Ackerman—no wonder it’s so expensive!—closes out the night with a swingin’ dance party. Saturday, 6 PM. $75 Tempo Members, $150 General Admission. —Taylor Carik
