We’re psyched to see the debut of Black Fashion Week MN, the brainchild of the Twin Cities Black Film Festival and talent company the Morrow Group. The event series celebrates local designers of color, kicking things off an opening party this Friday at Moxy. The opening party features a fashion show highlighting two Minnesota designers: Jacqueline Addison, an alum of the Art Institute International Minnesota whose inspirations include traditional African textiles and pop singers, and Houston White, creator of the Black Excellence clothing brand. Events run through June 2, and include a lineup of themed fashion shows, notably an I Am Not My Hair fashion show and an evening of Rasta wear. Opening party Friday 7-11 p.m. $30.Isabelle Wattenberg
