Our cities’ large populations of cyclists and highly-regarded art circles makes Altered Esthetic’s Bike Art VII unlikely to disappoint. This annual art show is comprised of multiple mediums—painting, sculpture, photography—all in celebration of pedal-driven transportation. With more than 20 artists participating, this exhibit is on its 7th year and going strong, considering it’s major local appeal.
Seeing as it is Twin Cities Bike Walk Week, it wouldn’t hurt to make your way on your one-speed, either. Don’t have one? Well, thanks to Mayor R.T. Rybak, there’s a solution to that. Grab a Nice Ride and park it at the Logan Park station, located only a few blocks from Altered Esthetics. You’ll feel like a true Twin Citian after a day like this one, especially if you end it at Nye’s Polonaise Room afterward for some cocktails and polka. 1 p.m. Free.
