We love events that showcase the best of the best, and with so much art in the Twin Cities we commend anyone who tries to parse through all the great work and choose the best. The MN Biennial does just that, showcasing work by artists from around the state. You’ll be hard pressed to find a more diverse group of artists—from young to old, rural to urban, established to emerging—and more diverse works. If you can imagine a type of art, it will almost certainly be on display: Painting, sculpture, printmaking, collage, clay, fabric, glass, wood, performance art, social practice, installation, video, and photography will all be highlighted, and that’s not even the full list. The exhibition at the MMA Project Space runs today through August 3. 7 p.m. Free.—EDJ
