IYLHYABH Cavalcade of Stars
Tonight's reading jam at the Brave New Workshop will definitely be a who's who of Twin Cities literati. In support of the release of John Jodzio's short story collection If You Lived Here You'd Already Be Home (IYLHYABH), a plethora of local writers, poets, comedians and journalists gather together to perform their work and give big ups to their pal Jodizo along the way. The event will feature an all-star cast of characters including Stephanie Wilbur Ash, Jenny Adams-Salmela, Brian Beatty, Dennis Cass, Patrick Condon, Dessa, Shane Hawley, Brian Judd, Baker Lawley, Molly Priesmeyer, Matt Rasmussen, Maggie Ryan Sandford, Andy Sturdevant, Robert Voedisch, Eric Vrooman, and of course, Jodzio himself. We also hear that writer Geoff Herbach will attempt to double park his car on Hennepin Avenue, run in, read, and run back out before he's ticketed. Is that considered performance art? We're not sure, but one thing we ARE sure of is that this is going to be one epic night. Doors and bar open at 6:30pm with the show at 7pm; free and open to the public.
