Mulligan Stu's Do-Over Revue
Next Occurrence:
Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 7:00 PM
For the past six months or so we've been lazily wishing someone would put on a "bad teenage poetry" reading night, and luckily, the clever peeps of Mulligan Stu's Do Over Revue have magically stepped up to the plate - and added in even more hilariously shameful elements! Head to the Nomad this evening for the kick off of this new monthly variety show that invites you to come clean on your most "cringe-worthy artistic output" in front of your peers - who will undoubtedly laugh directly in your face. Bring your angsty teen poems, your embarrassing diary confessions, your unsent love letters, your pop star-inspired collages, and basically any of your shameful creative endeavors from days of yore. Because honestly, if you can't laugh at yourself, those Cure lyrics you lovingly wrote with a calligraphy pen in your journal really will have meant nothing. The evening will be hosted by Vita.mn's Christian Phillipe-Quilici and will also includes tunes from Seasonal Concepts - the official Do Over Revue house band - as well as post-show DJ sets from Ciaran Daily (Idle Hands) and Brian McDonough (Me and My Arrow) playing songs of youth gone wrong. Doors open at 7pm and program starts at 7:30pm. Admission is $3 at the door. For more info visit www.nomadpub.com.
