Conversation with Jeff Hnilicka of FEAST

If you haven't already caught wind of the freshest new arts fundraising event to hit Minneapolis, well, tonight is your chance to learn all about it. This coming Saturday, Traffic Zone Center for the Arts will host the first FEAST (Funding Emerging Artists with Sustainable Tactics) dinner. This clever event invites participants to pay a sliding scale donation in exchange for a gourmet meal, after which patrons vote on numerous proposed art projects to receive the evening's profit. Concepted and initially produced by Jeff Hnilicka of Brooklyn, New York, the FEAST concept is now making waves in Minneapolis and beyond. Tonight at the Springboard for the Arts office, Hnilicka will be on hand to talk creative arts fundraising tactics and fill you in on what FEAST has accomplished in NYC, and what it can do for us here in Minneapolis. The discussion kicks off at 4:30pm with a presentation and q&a, followed by a wine and cheese reception from 5:30-6pm. You can also get your name on the list for Saturday's first FEAST!
