This weekend’s festivities also include the wildly popular ARTCRANK poster show featuring prints about bikes from Twincy artists on Saturday from 4-10 PM at Fulton. The show has grown into one of the premiere events in MPLS + STPL—last year’s party drew 4,000 attendees—and this year the show includes beer from Fulton (the first 1,000 attendees get a commemorative pint glass), food trucks, catered food, valet bike parking and more. Most of you have been to the show before, so instead of a preview, we thought we’d talk with ARTCRANK Founder + Creative Director Charles K. Youel about the show.
How has the growth of ARTCRANK changed the show/sales/artist selection?
I guess the simplest answer is, same bike art party, bigger space. We still rely exclusively on Twin Cities artists to design and print posters for the Minneapolis show.
