Walter Mosley Reads from ‘Rose Gold’

Meet best-selling mystery author Walter Mosley, one of America’s most celebrated and best known writers, as he reads from Rose Gold, his latest work featuring beloved sleuth Easy Rawlins. Mosley’s appearance on Monday, November 10th at the St. Paul JCC will also be the opening night of the Twin Cities Jewish Book Series! Tickets for the event are $25. Our doors are open to everyone!

‘Pieces of Sky’ Book Launch at Patrick’s Cabaret

Rain Taxi invites you to come celebrate the book launch of Pieces of Sky by spoken word legend J. Otis Powell‽ this Friday, November 7th, 7 PM at Patrick’s Cabaret (3010 Minnehaha Ave S, MPLS). Powell‽ will be joined by musicians Donald and Faye Washington and Davu Seru. Music is a large part of the story and the musicians—both fictional and factual contributors to Pieces of Sky—will make up an improviXational actuality right before your eyes and ears. Signing and reception to follow.

Tickets are $10 each, which includes a copy of Pieces of Sky.
