Start stretching your laughing muscles — starting today, the fine funny folks behind HUGE Improv theater in Uptown host the 5th annual Twin Cities Improv Festival! Guests include TJ & Dave from Chicago, (they’re featured in the documentary Trust Us This Is All Made Up), and performances by local favorites such as the Brave New Workshop, ComedySportz, Fingergun, the Minneapples, Adventures of Tim, as well as national groups, and more. Two Nights of Yo La Tengo at the 400 Bar

Over the course of their brilliant and enduring musical careers, Yo La Tengo have released a wide variety of music, from acclaimed albums to celebrated soundtracks, and performed with the likes of Daniel Johnston and Yoko Ono. During that time they’ve gained a dedicated cult following of fans and critics alike. Now YLT make a stop in the T.C. to play for two nights in the intimate confines of the 400 Bar on the West Bank in Minneapolis before the three make their way to Chicago. Pooch Pride Happy Hour

If you’re not yet in the Pride spirit, start celebrating Pride with your pup at a patio happy hour party Loring Kitchen & Bar. What could be better than patio time with your pooch? Well, drink specials and great food, for starters. Plus, dress up your four-legged buddy in his or her best Pride garb for a chance to win prizes. Social Science at the Science Museum

The Science Museum of Minnesota opens up the museum to adults only on select Wednesdays for Social Science, a popular new 21+ night event — so popular, in fact, the last one sold out. Celebrate the solstice with some drinks at bars throughout the museum, food samplings from local vendors, or even a round of outdoor mini-golf. And while you’re having fun, food, and a cocktail, get educated on solstice celebrations with the American Swedish Institute and the Chinese American Association of Minnesota, Science Live theater presentations, music, and more. No, this bending isn’t like Beckham. Lululemon of Mall of America is hosting its first in a four part series of summer yoga on the lawn at Brit’s Pub. Yoga lovers of all skill levels are welcome to join this complimentary vinyasa class Rooftop Garden 7:30 – 8:30 p.m., led by Coco Brown, and with music from DJ Deziel.
